Freshwater Farm Manager – Kinlochmoidart Nr Acharacle 20 May, 2008 - Marine Harvest (Scotland) Ltd is currently seeking a highly motivated and strong individual to take full responsibility of our freshwater contract rearing site at Kinlochmoidart, nr Acharacle. Kinlochmoidart is a recently built, well equipped, recirculation based operation, capable of producing 1,000,000+ smolts and several million fry. Currently in need of optimization, this site has the potential to become one of the core freshwater farms within Marine Harvest. The successful candidate will require previous management experience with a proven ability for establishing best farming practice and developing site infrastructure. A working knowledge of recirculation based aquaculture would be a distinct advantage. Essential skills will include the ability to manage and motivate personnel, first class planning and organisation abilities and a high degree of computer literacy. This is a challenging role; developing a successful track record for a new site. In return we will offer a salary package in the range £28K- £38K, dependent on experience, together with an enhanced bonus package for financial results achieved against set targets. Assistance with housing may also be available.
