Marine Technician 26 September, 2008 - The National Lobster Hatchery Marine Technician £12,500 A rare opportunity has arisen at the National Lobster Hatchery in Padstow Cornwall for a marine hatchery technician. Based in this picturesque fishing town, the project was opened to the public in August 2000, and is run as a charity. The hatchery produces juvenile lobsters for seeding around coastal waters of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Applicants should have a degree or equivalent in aquaculture, fisheries or a related discipline and experience in hatchery work with experience in algal culture, feed culture systems and marine recirculation systems an advantage. The selected candidate will support our senior technician in the operation of production and research systems.
