Marine Technician

26 September, 2008 - The National Lobster Hatchery

Marine Technician £12,500

A rare opportunity has arisen at the National Lobster Hatchery in Padstow Cornwall for a marine hatchery technician. Based in this picturesque fishing town, the project was opened to the public in August 2000, and is run as a charity. The hatchery produces juvenile lobsters for seeding around coastal waters of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Applicants should have a degree or equivalent in aquaculture, fisheries or a related discipline and experience in hatchery work with experience in algal culture, feed culture systems and marine recirculation systems an advantage.
