The Scottish Salmon Producers’ Organisation is seeking to appoint an experienced and high calibre person who will play a central role in contributing to the organisation’s scientific, technical and regulatory programmes of work.

The post is based at the SSPO’s offices in Perth, but will also involve participation in meetings and other activities elsewhere.

The person appointed is likely to have a background in biological or environmental science and to be appropriately qualified, with post-qualification experience, in an area of industry-relevant science and technology. Research experience and/or experience of working in a specialist technical role will be a requirement and there will be a strong preference for candidates with knowledge and experience of the aquaculture sector or a related industry. Familiarity with regulatory affairs or government policy would be an advantage.
