The GLOBALGAP Tour 2009

12 June, 2009 -

The agricultural certification organization, GLOBALGAP, is organizing a series of aquaculture workshops across the world for auditors, quality managers and technical advisors.
GLOBALGAP (formerly known as EUREPGAP) has established itself as a key reference for Good Agricultural Practices (G.A.P.) in the global marketplace, by translating consumer requirements into agricultural production in a rapidly growing list of countries (80 so far). It sets voluntary standards for the certification of agricultural products around the globe.

The objective of the workshops is to present the structure and documentation for a successful implementation of the GLOBALGAP Framework for the aquaculture sector and in particular, for Pangasius, Tilapia, Salmonids & Shrimp.

The public workshops in ‘TOUR 2009’ are as follows:
16-19 June 2009 Cologne, Germany: Shrimp, Salmonids, Tilapia, Pangasius
September Colombia: Shrimp, Tilapia, Pangasius (in Spanish)
12-13 October 2009 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Shrimp
26-28 October 2009 Washington DC, USA: Shrimp, Salmonids, Tilapia, Pangasius
