Hatchery Manager

We currently have a vacancy for a Hatchery Manager at our hatchery at Inchmore, which is located 10 miles west of Invermoriston.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective daily operations at the hatchery and must possess a sound technical knowledge of, for example, pumps, heating systems, mechanical filtration and back up systems, together with practical experience of the same.

In addition to the above, the Manager will be required to have effective people management skills, together with good communication and planning abilities and have a degree of computer literacy. The continued development of staff will be required and the Manager will be expected to ensure that each individual within the existing team is properly supported and encouraged to embrace change and work within a progressive structure.

Beyond the nature of the role, the post holder would be expected to undertake over-time as required in order to accommodate the business needs of the Hatchery. The successful applicant will be required to assist on the Alarm Rota and this will involve staying in the hatchery accommodation for approx one week in every 4.
