Precision Subsea Electronics Ltd of Oban has signed an agreement to supply their subsea, pan-tilt video cameras to Ocea Gruppen AS of Bergen, Norway - the fastest growing supplier of technology-based solutions to the global aquaculture industry.

The licence was signed in Trondheim at the start of the AquaNor show, the largest, most prestigious conference and trade exhibition in the aquaculture industry where the Precision Subsea Electronics’ camera was displayed on the Ocea exhibition stand, generating significant interest.

Under the agreement Ocea will now sell one of Precision Subsea Electronics' cameras, which are designed and manufactured in Scotland, to their global customer base as part of their extensive product portfolio.

Founding Director, Steve Davis said: “We are delighted that the design and quality of our products has been recognised by such an ambitious, global company as Ocea, which will now sell one of our top-of-the-range, pan-tilt, subsea cameras with Ocea branding.”

This deal is an early success in Precision Subsea Electronics’ ambitious plans to grow its business in Scotland, offering all of its own products globally and working closely with its customers to develop new, innovative technologies.

AquaNor was attended by Stewart Stevenson, the Scottish Environment Minister, who was there to promote the Scottish industry on a global platform. The quality of Scottish salmon is recognised internationally and exports currently account for over a third of total food exports, with the industry providing much-needed employment in some of Scotland’s most remote communities.
