Marine Site Manager

22 February, 2012 -

Orkney Mainland

We are currently looking to identify a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual to undertake the role of Marine Site Manager for our Toyness and Bring Head sites within Scapa Flow.

Candidates must demonstrate excellence in all aspects of fish husbandry including fish health and welfare, feeding optimisation, containment, infrastructure maintenance and skilled seamanship. If successful you will be hard-working, focused on achieving your own key performance indicators and developing the potential within your staff.

To be considered, you should ideally already be a Site Manager within the aquaculture industry, or an experienced Assistant Manager that is keen to progress into management. You will have excellently developed risk assessment skills and be able to demonstrate your commitment in developing a strong safety culture.

Scottish Sea Farms Site Managers are already expected to be industry leading - with competence in finance, budget control and planning, stock management, stakeholder interactions, personnel management and promotion of health and safety. In return Scottish Sea Farms Ltd will offer an attractive salary package, company vehicle, pension support and production bonus, along with a commitment to support your development with training and close mentoring. A full relocation package would be available for successful candidates that are from outside the Orkney Islands.

All applicants are required to have a full, clean driver’s license.

If you would like to know more please contact Claire Scott on 01786 445521 or email claire.scott@scottishseafarms.com to obtain an application pack.

Closing date for applications is 9th March, 2012.
