THE ONE SHOW VISITS THE SCOTTISH SALMON COMPANY AT LOCH FYNE

10 September, 2012 -

John Sergeant and Iain MacIntyre

Argyll and Bute’s Loch Fyne took centre stage last week (Tuesday September 4) in BBC1’s The One Show.

Veteran broadcaster John Sergeant visited Loch Fyne recently in his tour along Scotland’s west coast, spending time with The Scottish Salmon Company team in the area.

He took a boat out to the fish farmer’s site in the loch, feeding the fish and taking a couple out the water for a regular health inspection.

The Scottish Salmon Company’s South Production Manager Iain MacIntyre hosted John Sergeant and his film crew. He said: “We were delighted The One Show came to visit us. It gave us the chance to show off an industry that we are proud of and is very important to the West Coast and Islands of Scotland.

“It’s certainly not every day we host film crews and see ourselves on national TV so it was a really good experience. We were lucky we got such a beautiful day for John and the crew. The area looked great on camera with the sun shining.”

The Scottish Salmon Company operates throughout the West Coast and Highlands and Islands of Scotland, employing over 380 people in providing superior Scottish salmon to the market.
